Civil Rights Staff Attorney

Bio

Ashlee joined the ACLU of Montana as a Civil Rights Staff Attorney in March 2025. She is a storyteller, trauma-informed lawyer, and creative who was born and raised in Ohio.

Prior to joining the ACLU of Montana, Ashlee served as a staff attorney with nonprofits in Washington, DC, where she provided direct legal services to survivors of gender-based violence and other violent crimes. Ashlee also served as a Congressional staffer on Capitol Hill, where her work focused on civil rights, healthcare, and criminal legal system reform.

Ashlee earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Political Science from Syracuse University. Ashlee is admitted to the State Bar of Montana, State of Wisconsin Bar, and District of Columbia Bar.

Ashlee enjoys spending her time at dance studios, yoga studios, music festivals, and ski resorts.
