ACLU-MT Trans Rights Roundtable

Join the ACLU of Montana for a panel discussion in Missoula, MT focused on the current landscape of transgender rights in Montana and across the country. This conversation will bring together advocates, legal experts, and community voices to discuss key developments impacting transgender Montanans, including a debrief of Cross v. State of Montana and updates on Kalarchik v. State of Montana and ongoing work surrounding identity documents, and broader national advocacy efforts. The program will also explore the importance of advocacy, resilience, and community care during a time of significant legal and political challenges.
Panelists will include Robin Turner, Staff Attorney with Legal Voice; Malita Picasso, Staff Attorney with the ACLU LGBTQ & HIV Project; and Representative SJ Howell. The discussion will be moderated by ACLU of Montana Deputy Director Alex Rate.
Doors will open at 5:30 PM and the panel will begin at 6 PM. If attending in person, we encourage you to arrive early to get settled in and grab refreshments before the discussion begins.
