montanaroadblock

This is the only kind of roadblock Montanans should be dealing with. They shouldn't be stopped by police who are on a fishing expedition for people who don't have the proper registration or insurance.

That's just the kind of suspicionless and warrantless roadblock that Missoula Police have been conducting, and they are unconstitutional.

ACLU of Montana Legal Director Betsy Griffing explains in aKECI-TVstory that Montana's constitution has an even greater right to privacy than that contained in the U.S. Constitution.

Montanans value their privacy. A nonscientific poll conducted by KECI  shows overwhelming opposition to the Missoula Police roadblocks. They are right to be concerned.

If the police take our liberty on the roads and conduct these stops with no suspicion of wrongdoing, where does it stop?

Let's stop it right now.
